Day 1Ayubowan! May you be blessed with long life! With this beautiful traditional greeting you are welcomed to the island of Sri Lanka. Accommodation in Negombo. If requested we can make transport arrangement from airport to Hotel.
Day 2After breakfast visit fishing village in Negombo. It is fascinating to see the processes and way of life that happens there on a daily basis and you will be transferred to Kandy. Check-in at hotel Evening visit Temple of the Tooth Relic and witness a cultural dance show. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 3After breakfast. We visit a batik factory and learn about the art of making batik. Visit art & craft workshop to see craftsmen in action making traditional wood carvings, lacquer ware, brassware and other craft items. Afterwards leave for Nuwara Eliya enroute visit Ramboda water falls. Town tour around Nuwara Eliya including the picturesque Gregory Lake.Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 4Morning leave for Horton plains with packed breakfast. Horton Plains National Park is an expanse of misty grasslands, rare and beautiful plants and ice cold streams. The trek is exhilarating passing Baker’s fall and ‘Chimney Pool’ to ‘World’s End’ – a sheer drop of 3700 ft offering a fabulous view of the tea plantations and surrounding below. Back to the hotel. Late afternoon we board our train (Train ride on Tickets availability) at Nanu Oya at 15.50 pm for a scenic train journey to Ella. We will see waterfalls, suspension bridges and tea pickers on our journey. Meet our chauffeur guide at Ella station (18:25) and leave for Ella Hotel for overnight
Day 5Early morning visit the Lipton’s Seat lookout rivals the views from World’s End. Enroute visit Dambatenne Tea factory and learn all about tea, a most magnificent drink. Learn how it is grown, plucked and refined plus the fine art of tea making. Evening cooking demonstrations at the hotel. The chef will teach you how to prepare authentic Sri Lankan dishes and BBQ dinner. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 6Morning leave for Koggala enroute we stop at the the mesmerizing Ella Gap to observe the panoramic view of the surrounding area and Rawana falls visit Udawalawe National Park, famous for its elephant population then Eth Athuru Sevana (Elephant Transit home for wild elephants) Evening relax at beach. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 7After breakfast visit Martin Wickramasinghe (Martin Wickramasinghe was one of the most prominent Sri Lankan writers of all times) Museum of Folk, Art and Culture in Koggala and boat ride to Madol Duwa in Koggala Lake. And bird watching in island. Back to hotel and proceed to Negombo via Colombo. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 8Accommodation in Negombo If requested we can make transport arrangement from Hotel to airport.
